Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 nsfas login and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identity my nsfas Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
